A Club And A Course That Flow With The Environment
The desert air invigorates your lungs. Waves shimmer in the distance. The sky soars above you. And you focus on steadying your driver as you tee off against a backdrop of pristine beaches and the crystal-blue Bay. Tom Doak’s masterful design takes advantage of the desert terrain by incorporating rocky ridges, Cardón cacti and wind-worn boulders into an intriguing lay-out that never plays the same way twice. Add to this the pristine oceanfront topography and impressive vistas of the Sea of Cortez and you are left with one of the most visually arresting 18-hole challenges on the globe.
The Bahía de los Sueños Golf Course will implement a hearty type of salt-tolerant grass known as seaside paspalum, which uses less fertilizer and water. Additionally, the course is planned to be entirely irrigated by renewable waters.
An 18-hole, three-par executive course will also offer a chipping-and-putting alternative adjacent to Doak’s masterpiece.
